GEO Campaigns
Get Cited, Not Just Ranked.
Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) builds your brand's visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Mode. We make your content the source AI platforms trust and recommend.
AI search is a new channel. It needs an ongoing strategy.
An AI visibility audit tells you where you stand. A GEO campaign does something about it.
GEO is the ongoing work of making your brand more visible, more citable, and more frequently recommended in AI-generated search results. It covers entity optimisation, content structuring, schema implementation, digital PR, and the technical work that makes AI platforms choose your content over a competitor's.
Here's what most agencies won't tell you: around 90% of what drives visibility in AI search is the same foundational SEO work. Clean site structure, strong content, proper schema markup, and technical best practice. GEO isn't a completely new discipline. It's an evolution of SEO that applies existing principles to a new set of platforms.
That's why we don't run GEO as a separate silo. We integrate it into your SEO program so everything works together. One team, one strategy, two audiences: humans and AI systems.
What a GEO campaign covers
Content Optimisation for Citation
AI platforms don't just look for relevant content. They look for content they can extract, summarise, and cite. We restructure your existing content and create new content designed to be picked up by AI systems.
This means clear, declarative language that AI can parse and quote. Comprehensive topic coverage that positions your brand as an authority. Unique data, statistics, and insights that give AI platforms a reason to cite you over generic sources. And content templates built for your team to use going forward, so every new page follows the same standards.
Entity Optimisation
AI platforms need to understand who you are before they can recommend you. Entity optimisation ensures your brand, your people, and your services are clearly defined and consistently referenced across the web.
We work on your brand's knowledge graph presence, consistent entity signals across your site and third-party platforms, author and expertise markup, and alignment between how your site describes your business and how external sources reference it. The clearer your entity signals, the more confidently AI platforms will mention you.
Schema and Structured Data
Schema markup gives AI platforms explicit information about your content. It reduces ambiguity and makes it easier for these systems to connect your content to the right queries.
We implement and maintain FAQPage, HowTo, Article, Product, Service, Organisation, and Author schemas across your site. This isn't a one-off deployment. As your content grows and AI platforms evolve, your schema needs to keep pace.
Technical AI-Readiness
If AI crawlers can't access your content, nothing else matters. We monitor and maintain the technical foundations that keep your site visible to AI systems.
This covers server-side rendering and JavaScript accessibility, content structure and semantic HTML, heading hierarchy and page organisation, code-to-content ratio, and internal linking architecture. Many of these are traditional SEO fundamentals, which is exactly why GEO and SEO work so well together.
Digital PR for AI Visibility
AI platforms build their understanding of your brand partly from what other sources say about you. Digital PR in a GEO context means earning citations and mentions on the high-authority sites that AI systems trust.
This includes earning coverage on news sites, industry publications, and authoritative blogs that LLMs reference. Building consensus across the web about your brand and expertise. And creating the external signals that reinforce what your own site already communicates.
Platform-Specific Optimisation
Every AI platform works differently. ChatGPT pulls from training data and live browsing. Perplexity crawls and cites in real time. Google AI Mode synthesises from its own index. Gemini draws from Google's ecosystem.
We don't optimise once and hope it works everywhere. We track how each platform treats your content and adjust strategy accordingly. What works on Perplexity might not work on ChatGPT, and vice versa.
Built into your SEO program, not bolted on
Month 1: Foundation
We review your AI visibility audit (or conduct one if you haven't had one yet), define priority query themes, and build the initial implementation roadmap. Technical fixes and quick wins get deployed first.
Months 2-3: Implementation
Content optimisation, schema deployment, entity work, and technical improvements roll out across your priority pages. We track citation performance from day one so you can see what's moving.
Ongoing: Optimise and Expand
Monthly content and technical work continues based on what the data tells us. We expand into new query themes, refine what's working, and adapt to platform changes. AI search evolves quickly, and your strategy needs to evolve with it.
GEO + SEO
One campaign. Every search channel covered.
Most of our clients run GEO alongside traditional SEO because the overlap is significant. The technical work, content improvements, and authority building that drive AI visibility also drive organic rankings. Running them together means you get more value from every hour of work.
A combined campaign covers traditional SEO strategy and execution, GEO-specific optimisation across AI platforms, standard organic reporting (rankings, traffic, conversions), AI visibility reporting (citations, share of voice, platform tracking), and a single team managing both channels with a unified strategy.
This is how we recommend most businesses approach it. You get comprehensive search visibility without duplicating effort or managing two separate agencies.
This isn't SEO with a new label
There are real differences between optimising for search engines and optimising for AI platforms. Here's what changes in a GEO campaign:
- Content goal shifts from ranking to citation. In SEO, you want to rank on page one. In GEO, you want to be the source AI cites in its answer. The content approach is different - more declarative, more comprehensive, more focused on being the definitive resource.
- Authority signals expand beyond backlinks. AI platforms assess authority through entity clarity, cross-platform consistency, and third-party consensus - not just link profiles. Digital PR in a GEO context is about building the web of references that AI systems rely on.
- Measurement is fundamentally different. You can't track GEO performance in Google Search Console. We use prompt-based monitoring across platforms, citation rate tracking, share of voice analysis, and competitive benchmarking. Different metrics, different tools, different reporting.
- Platform behaviour varies significantly. Each AI system has its own quirks. What triggers a citation on Perplexity might not work on ChatGPT. A GEO campaign accounts for these differences rather than treating all AI platforms as one.
