The AWIA celebrates the best and brightest Australian websites every year.

Optimising Co-Founder, Daniel Zuccon, chaired this year’s judging panel!

There’s no shortage of exciting Australian websites and developers. That’s why the Australian Web Industry Association (AWIA) hosts the annual Australian Web Awards (AWA); to celebrate some of the most innovative and exciting websites and give the industry’s rising stars some recognition.

At Optimising, we are fortunate enough to work with some pretty incredible web development partners and collaborate on a range of different client websites. We’re big fans of the Australian Web Awards as we know it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the best of the best, as well as a chance to network with old and new faces.

Optimising has been a member of AWIA for a decade, and Daniel is also on the AWIA Board and the Chair of the judging panel for the last 2 years.

“The Australian Web Awards are always a great opportunity to see what Aussie agencies have been busy building over the past year! There’s always some impressive innovation and entries that really push the limits of web technologies.”

The judging panel assessed all entries on a combination of judging disciplines including content, design and accessibility. This year was also the first year that SEO was included as one of the six judging disciplines. Optimising also sponsored the new SEO discipline which is based on campaign success which was awarded to the Australian Retirement Trust. We choose to sponsor the award to recognise the great work being achieved in our industry as well as help support the AWIA.

2023 was the biggest year yet for the Australian Web Awards with record entries, record entrants and record event ticket sales!
