Facebook is continuing to roll out the new features on Facebook pages, adding features that have previously only been available through third party applications. Page Admins will now be able to assign specific roles to other admins under five new categories:
The manager has the highest level of access allowing them to send messages, create posts, ads and viewing insights.
The 'Insight Analyst" has the least permissions, only able to access Facebook Insight. In an even more exciting move, and an update which is more slowly being rolled out, Facebook Page Admins will now be able to schedule posts up to 6 months in advance, with the aded ability to run posts in 15 minute intervals.
Is Facebook trying to make third party apps such as Hoot suite and Sprout Social obsolete? Or are they just creating an alternative option for managing Facebook Pages?
