WP TinyPNG (retired)

If you Are Here - It's Time to Upgrade...

This plugin is no longer maintained.

We built WP TinyPNG back in 2014 and haven't updated it since. It was last tested on WordPress 4.3. If you still have it installed, we recommend removing it and switching to one of the options below.

Use this instead

TinyPNG - JPEG, PNG & WebP image compression - the official plugin from Tinify. Compresses on upload and converts to WebP and AVIF.
Modern Image Formats - a free plugin from the WordPress Performance Team that converts images on your own server.

What WP TinyPNG did

WP TinyPNG connected WordPress to the TinyPNG API so your PNG images were compressed automatically, without leaving the dashboard. Smaller images, faster pages, no manual exporting.

We built it because we were sick of seeing slow sites held back by bloated images. Over a decade later, we still are.

Still got a slow site?

Image compression is a quick win, but rarely the whole story.

We've been doing technical SEO since 2008 and site speed has always been part of it.
