How to follow SXSW Interactive Online

Posted on January 01, 2014

Everyone alive seems to be going to SXSW Interactive this year - except us. Why should they have all the fun? I mean I have worked hard all year (so far), and I would love to be there rubbing shoulders with the Nerdy Elite! But alas, I am stuck here in my office working my butt off. Being connected as we are though, we're at an advantage. EVERYTHING can be experienced online. No matter where you are in the world you can experience a little bit of SXSW from your own office chair. Here are 6 Ways I will be soaking up SXSW Interactive over the next few days, without being there. Youtube channel

The SXSW Youttube channel features loads of videos from throughout the conference. WIth keynotes, parties and networking events covered, you can see a load of the content on offer at SXSW. Consider it your virtual highlights package.

The SXSW Facebook page is regularly updated with posts, insights, videos and links that will give you the latest from the conference and industry. Make sure you like the page to see these regular updates in your news stream.

Mashable is the ultimate website for digital media news. With 'Mashable House' a feature of this years SXSW, Mashable is your 'on the ground' media organisation. Follow or subscribe to the rss feed of the SXSW category for the latest updates from the festival.

Official Live Stream of Keynotes

This year marks the first year of official video streaming. We will only have the pleasure of the keynote presentations being streamed, but its a start. Tune into the SXSW website for dates and times closer to the day.

Guest Bloggers * SXSW in 2011 features a plethra of live bloggers from around the globe reporting on topics discussed in presentations, networking events, parties and venues. Check in at the SXSW blog daily for the latest blogs, opinions and imagery for the big event. *Twitter Oh Twitter, how did we survive without you for so long? Follow the many twitter hashtags that will be generated throughout the event. The ONLY way to do this well is to use a twitter client such as Tweetdeck our Hoot Suite, so you can follow many twitter streams at the same time on the same screen-trust me, this is a MUST.!/sxsw

There, your way to be at SXSW Interactive vicariously through the internet. Have fun and enjoy the ride. Maybe you will be there next year, I know I will!
