Google Redesigns Place Pages to focus on Reviews

If you have been to Google recently, you will know they have been doing a lot of messing around with the way results are displayed, and the way we see Google Places listings. Today we saw a great step in the right direction, that will please many business', including a few of our own clients. The new layout places a more heavy emphasis on Google Reviews, with citations/reviews pulled from other, third party sites taking a back seat. This is good news for many travel and service business who have struggled with the reviews process on many of these third party sites, which tend to be unfairly skewed in favour fo the customer.

Rather than directly showing those external, third party, reviews, the page now only shows a selection of Google user reviews. Google has clearly stated there will be more changes as we move forward, so don't get toom used to what we are seeing now. Google has a mind and agenda of their own.
