Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools now track Social Media Impact

With the recent roll out of Google+, Google has taken steps to become more social, introducing new tools for tracking tweets, likes, +1s and more on your websites traffic through both Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools.
Google Webmaster Tools now has a '+1 metric' within their reporting interface. In addition the new Social Plugin Tracking tool for Google Analytics allows you to compare the different impacts of Tweets, Facebook Likes, Facebook Sends and many other social actions. With these new tools, we will now be able to gain much more insight into the impact of Social Media on a website, which is a massive step in the right direction.
