Facebook Insight Updates including real time reporting

p>Facebook has come out with some really nice improvements to their Facebook Insights Tools (Facebook Analytics), which allow publishes to see who is interacting with their content in real time. The updates allow publishers to get realtime updates and engagement metrics on how content is performing meaning you can better optimise this content for Facebook as you go.

Some of the new features publishers can now see include:

Impressions

Referral Clicks

Most popular pages on the site

This has been expanded to include the top 100 pages in terms of most likes, comments or shares.

Better Engagement Reporting

Publishers can now get a breakdown on data by Facebook likes and Comments. Webite owners with like buttons on their website are now able to see how many people saw the like button, and clicked on them.

It also reports on the metrics of the recently updated Comments plugin, which enables you to see the rate of comments on a post and who is making them.

Demographics and Interactions

The new Facebook Insights can also break down the interactions based on demographics, which will help publishers to target specific audiences better. This will enable us to learn more about the audience who interact with your Facebook presence.

Overall the changes are nothing ground breaking, but surely a step in the right direction for Facebook, making them more transparent and insightful to both marketers and business owners.
