Why we’re going to Pubcon

We’re making the big trip over to Pubcon in Las Vegas this October again and we could not be more excited.

Our ‘business trip’ is the highlight of our year and we started looking forward to it as soon as we got home from Pubcon 2011.

Booking in again this year was a ready-made decision for us, there was no question the value we got out of attending last year. The value we got from it was well above what it cost us.

Pubcon is perfect for any SEO, PPC, & Social Media companies around the world and anyone serious about the game.

So why do we go?

It’s in Vegas, baby…

I have been to Vegas a few times now, and it really is one of the most surreal places on the planet.

Pubcon, held right in the middle of Vegas, makes for a conference that is sure to entertain and surprise.

From the official drinks to the unofficial parties, Pubcon has it all – all in the name of becoming better at what we do, of course.

Learning

The days the conference runs, are literally jam packed with information and speakers. Last year, I had never learnt so much in a short space of time. I’m going to make the best of this year as well!

Coming from Australia, we’re still a little behind in the SEO landscape. Some of the things we were able to take away last year have really put us ahead for our clients this year, so we place Pubcon as a valuable learning tool, not just an excuse to jump on a plane to Vegas.

You will hear from people like Matt Cutts and people you haven’t heard of, but should start paying attention to, and everyone in between.

Industry & Networking

If you are in SEO, you need to be at Pubcon. The people I met last year, I now converse with on Twitter, read their blogs and have continued to learn from since being back in Austalia.

The networking opportunities Pubcon presents are second to none. It’s not often you can pick the brains of so many like-minded and tipsy but cheery masters of SEO & PPC.

We booked our tickets, flights and hotels last week.

Hope to see you there!
